Christian Chadwick is currently a well-known farmer linked to European hazelnuts; however, before planting his first hazelnut shrub, this business engineer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile began his professional career at British American Tobacco (BAT). He spent 18 years at this multinational company, where he built a successful career that led him to hold various positions in different countries, ultimately becoming the General Manager of BAT in Puerto Rico. His executive career continued at Iansa until he decided to strike out on his own and invest in avocado orchards in the Ocoa Valley, and later in European hazelnuts in the Maule Region.
All the experience described above has shaped him into a passionate, innovative, and bold entrepreneur who is always seeking new business opportunities—and who now offers his readers everything he has learned about hazelnuts.
